Four inches of wet and heavy.
Perfect snowball fight density.
Road crews pounce, only puddles remain.
Running errands in the truck midday.
Ligjt is stagnant green, acceleration.
Left turn lane has a one ton with a plow and sander.
Right side of my lane has a large puddle. Light still green.
Cluster of twenty something students standing way to close to sidewalk puddle edge. Must be freshman. Older kids have learned.
It's going to be tight. I see what is about to happen.
But traffic, speed, the one ton...
The light is still green.
Hit the puddle full speed! Cascading ark of freezing, brown, salty slushwater does it's job! I tap the horn and wave!
The kids, having learned proper sidewalk position thank me signaling that I am number one! As cold and brown drips off of them.
At the end of it all. When the books are opened. I'm going to say slow down, this is a good one!

That was deleted in the great server purge by the janitor. And as they say it is better to let sleeping Beavers lay.
BTW it was not my post on Margo's "Problem with my Beaver" thread everyone remembers but my separate thread apology. All these years and folk still come up to me at events and talk about that single RTF post.
