I have seen few posts on the breeding that people would like. My question is not a statistical question. I don't want some run down of what sire produces the most FC's each year. I can get that myself. I want to know from you guys that are watching the trials all the time and working with lots of dogs. What sires do you like pups out of?
I know a lot of sires that produce crap. But wich sires do you like or not like to see pups out of?
I personaly had a Creek Robber pup that did not turn out at all. Plus she failed her CERF. Thats just 1 pup. What do you see on a consistent basis?

Bear pups

the ones that i have seen i have really liked. They are strong headed and little slow to mature. Pissy in basic training. But in the end and once you get them out of the real formal stuff they really seem to come one nicely. Great markers. Poor handling, depending on the female.

I know when he was with Rorem he got Jam after Jam in the open but dont think he got very many placements but he is a good, nice dog.Another thing is he is one big muscular dog.I wanted a pup out of him if he would be breed to a nice titled female.I know he is going to start running some AMS more often.

I don't know exactly if this what you were looking for, but I have a Ryder pup and I'd gladly take one again- but not for the reasons (FCs/AFCs, etc. produced) most folks give. Besides all of the marking ability, intelligence, etc., I really liked his structure. He appeared (from what I saw of him, which admittedly wasn't much) to have a nice amount of bone, good angles, and classic headpiece. When he was paired to a lovely bitch that had the same, he produced some very awesome pups.

My Ryder girl, once she fully matures, looks like she'll get the whole package- looks and performance. Right now, I couldn't be happier with the way she's turning out. I have no doubt she has the ability to pass her JH in four straight this summer (possibly even before a year old, although it'll be close). Next summer, we'll be running Senior as soon as we clean up a few obedience issues- our fault, not hers (we spoiled her a bit, lol). We're learning amateurs, we make mistakes, but she learns very quick- sometimes quicker than we can teach her (if that makes sense).

of coarse

i completely understand that the bitch has a lot to do with the breeding. we are not idiots here. my question is not about the females, it is in regards to the males. i have seen many dogs that are crap producers from both great females and medioacre females. i just wanted opinions on sires.

well I think he has talent and brains,he has finished alot of opens and jammed alot just hasnt placed 1 or 2 and big and muscular is a bonus, too me it beats skin and bones. If I was going to breed to one of 2 studs and they had accomplished the same in test and are even in ever way then I would choose the one that caught my eye.
