I hope the fires have passed you by still. I see they are still burning up your way. We were “smoked out” to the point of having to close the interstate due to all the smoke from the fires here and all the way up to your place blowing down right on top of us. You could actually see on the radar that the smoke was coming from Georgia right on down to us. Visibility was down to less than 1/2 mile. We have 5-6 in the tri county area right now including on in the glades that is 17,000 acres last I heard.
Hope all is well up there.

BBG,

Thankfully (for us) the fires have remained south of the city. We had a rough time last week with smoke due to the wind shift but with the sub-tropical storm sitting off the coast we are catching a break and you guys are getting the smoke :?

Well over 100 thousand acres burned here. Dozers and worn out firemen are everywhere. The efforts put forth by those fighting the fires has been awe inspiring. It is a nasty, hot, smokey, and all too often thankless job.

Hope you catch the break soon and thanks for checking...
