It's a starter pistol that doesn't look like a pistol. I thought it would be great for training on public land. However, it has a cautionary statement that it shoots out glass fragments??

From the supply website:
CAUTION:

A blast of glass will discharge from the end of the Pop-Start
Never point at yourself or others
Do not leave Pop-Start loaded when not in use

I don't own one but I've seen them used.

They do what they're supposed to do.

I wouldn't be concerned with the "glass flying" out of them. Something flys out of everything that goes bang.

I am sure it is a misprint and should say gas
but a little bit of glass would not be a good thing

Zinger winger makes a zinger 209 pocket shot.

Doesn't look like a pistol. Fires 209 primers.
On the web site. Video also I believe.

Its just hammering down on a primer. Of course the possibility of primer fragments is going to be there.

I like the zinger winger one better, thanks for the suggestion. Although it does look an awful lot like the captive bolt used at the slaughterhouses. Maybe that's where the design idea came from.

Our club has been experimenting with Thunder shot gun simulators and most of us like them. Short term pay back after a couple hunt test
