Noticed this dog has ran a lot of Derby's...anyone know how many Derby points he has?

My girls first Derby is coming up and I was just sizing up the competition. Looks like a pretty good field.

I have no idea how many points, but every time I look at my RFTN, this dog wins the derby! He must be freaking awesome, but also must be approaching the end of his derby career. If your dog is new at it, seems like time is on your side!

Mark-
He finished the year at 38. He picked up 8 pts. one weekend (Fri. MS. & Sat. KS.) and I think he had another third. I'm guessing he must of had a couple other points so Cappy has 51 pts. maybe more. Only 12 dogs in the field should be a quick Derby. Good Luck.

Last I heard was 71.....don't know if that is accurate or not.

Bill told me he had 64 I believe before Jayhawk. He won that so 71 must be pretty close.

Bill said he had six trials left counting Jayhawk.

He got a RJ today, but may be running another one tomorrow somewhere.

I suppose he could have three left, which would give him 15 more if he won all three. If he averaged 3 pts (very realistic) he would end up with 79 which surely will win going away.

He's a very nice dog and real good looking. Big guy and marks like a laser.

Any word of what the plans are after the derby? Meaning who will run him for qualifying or all age.

I hear he is heading NE with his Brother....but that is not from Mary or Bill. Don't know if it is fact.

I hear he has been sold. Has anyone else heard this. The number I heard was real high. Does anyone know who bought him?

I heard he "aged-out" after this last weekend, career total of 88 points.

Cappy's brother - Tex - won the derby in Montana to give him 24 points.

Tex placed in his last 7 trials (think he only ran 9) and won 4 of them.

He averaged 3.2 points per start.

Tex is owned by White Knight on these boards.

There were a couple other littermates that had some success as well, don't remember their names but I remember running against them.

Looks like Viking clicked well with an Abe bitch!

Cappy

Cappy is a spectacular animal I will tell you this if Steve Yozamp keeps running Seasides Pelican Pete in derby's he will rack up points also . It all depends if Pete's owner Bob Zylla wants to start training for the Q .Pete has 13 derby points in last 3 trials he ran
