I have a 6 year old with a grade 1 murmur. We did an echo on her heart just last November and everything was fine. She has been checked by two different heart specialist. It was recommended if I breed her to lines that have no SAS. Cookie had Excellent hips and eyes were clear. She is healthy girl with no problems. She had one litter with our Boomer son. Kodi is clear for PRA and is CHIC. None of the puppies had murmurs. 10 of them. All went to pet homes. None were bred. I don't feel comfortable passing down a problem that will show up in a later generation. Your girl will live a long life even with a small murmur. These SAS issues are not joke. It can show up more serious with future generations. I had a litter where both of parents were cleared and half of the litter had murmurs. The sire of my girl threw 3 litters with murmurs. It can skip two generations. I found out later that my girl's littermate died of SAS.
