My vet recommended Comfortis for flea control for my Boykin. He and the AWS have had a rough time with fleas, while the Labs seem not to have a problem.

This is my fault, but of course after I had given them the pill, I read that off label use of Ivomec is problematic, and of course that is what I am using.

Is the dosage of ivermectin in Heartguard safe for use with Comfortis? If not, which heartworm preventative works with it? Should I give Comfortis and the heartworm preventative separately?

I hear this is a good product, but I tend to be a worrier.

Thanks! It is still too hot to train, so I am sitting here and worrying about things.

I would call your vet to be safe.

Ask your vet about Trifexis. It's heartworm, intestinal parasite & Comfortis (same drug co.) all rolled into one tablet. Works great
