Just curious what the going rate is to have your dogs hips x-rays done for OFA evaluation? My brother wants to have his dogs hips evaluated when he turns 2 this July and was wondering about what vets are charging for x-rays. He lives about 15 minutes west of Lincoln, NE.

I had three dogs done a little over a year ago in the Atlanta, GA area. Total cost less than $700. No sedation and in and out of the vets office in less than an hour - 2 Excellent, 1 Good. Results in about a week.

Moral of the story. Worry more about finding a very experienced vet, than a cheap one. Maybe you can find both.

My vet charges $300 for hips and elbows. No sedation also

My Vet is charges $350.00

Mine was ~$230 last year w/ sedation (reversible domitor) and ~$60 less w/o. I've tried 2x now to do w/o and despite the same dogs loving to sprawl on their backs around here, they don't think the same about a stainless bench. I've got one due in 2 wks, and she's getting the needle.

Cardiac $45
Total $485
Plus OFA fees of $85 for hips, elbows, thyroid, cardiac, and eic.
