In the process of designing/building a ramp for my dog to get back into my jon boat. Anybody have any pics or details of any homemade ramps? (yes. I could probably buy one, but wheres the fun in that???)

I realize overall length is subject to the height of the boat, so with that in mind, How much below the water does the ramp need to be so the dog can climb it easily? Angle from the boat?

I would look at the avery double. I believe it is called that and configure it to those dimensions. I have one and love it for the boat or flooded timber. In timber, I use the top space for my shelf and the dog sits on the bottom.

Have it go below the surface of the water far enough so the dog can swim up to it and get on with ease when in deep water. try to make it as lite as you can. sorry no pic's of a home made.
