I've noticed that many of the members here own more than one dog. I was curious as to how many people were currently running how many dogs in hunt tests and/or field trials. Of those responding with more than one, how many do you have "out" at a pro one time?

Have 4 dogs. Of the 3 that are not retired--one recently had TPLO surgery, one is in heat and the other is with a pro.
For the poll the answer is 1.

I have run as many as three at trials, Mike has run three to five. We are currently training seven Goldens of varying ages and the training season has just about come to an end for us this year. We have our own training program and do not use a pro any longer. Winter is a challenge for us. Mike has his own business. Fall and winter is the time I have my litters. So, if anyone gets south this winter, it will be for a week here or there, once or twice. Mike will probably be the one going, unless timing is good for me later on in that season. In which case we will go together. The dogs did not go south at all last year. I began training in April and by mid-May Push was ready to go out and compete. Mike and I share the training with all dogs. I am the day trainer and he the evening one. This past season we reached most of our goals with the dogs in competition and surpassed others. So far, this is arrangement is working for us. :D Val
