I know this has been discussed before, but I figured it would bring up some good conversation. Myself, I have 7. 6 of those are mutts and one is a little brown dog who is 12 weeks old tomorrow.

We've got all our mutts. Only two of which are really "mine". One of them is a big ol' black lab named Bubba. He's not totally black lab, but he makes a damn fine duck dog. He would probably be senior level if I were to run him in tests. Alice (CBR) is going to be my test dog when she grows up. Got her in February, and plan on being Senior level by fall. She'll get her first ribbons and first ducks this fall.

2 more of those mutts (not really mutts) are little freaking leg biter Pomeranians, and 3 of them are pure bred mutt. God I hate those stupid leg biters.

What do you guys have out in the kennels?

For me it's a choc lab rescue named Max, a yellow lab nut job named Finn and a 3 year old Pudelpointer named Gusto. The labs are great but the Pudelpointer is the best dog I have ever owned, he is also the first non lab that made the top of my list.

I Used to have an Irish wolfhound and great Dane mix. Huuuuge dog. Absolute sweetheart, and a protector that would have laid down his life for his family. Always felt safe when Ed was around me. Miss that old boy. He died of cancer a few years back.

Zoe is an awesome guard dog. She is from a bad breeding though. Bad temperment, will fight with the other dogs, & doesn't like people she doesn't know. However, I like the fact that she is stand offish with strangers. If you aren't supposed to be in the yard there is a good chance you will remember why. lol She is a lover tho.

We have 3 dogs:

7 yr. old. FC/AFC black female Lab (trained, handled to her titles by her owner)
3 yr. old black female Lab (her daughter). 30 Derby pts., QAA, 4th place Amateur.
and...
13 yr. old MH, QAA, Amateur pts., Open pt. Golden Retriever male. Retired from f.t. competition due to spine injury and unsuccessful spine surgery. Still walking around, still in love with the girls.

Much to my husbands dismay...

14 yr old Rescue CBR female - Joey
2 8yr old Rescue Blk Labs Bro & Sis - Peanut and Honey
8yr old CBR female - Bay
5yr old Rescue JRT female - Blu
3.5yr old CBR male - Junior (the meat dog in the pic)
2.5yr old CBR male - Rip (jrs bro just a yr younger)

8 total...joey came here at 8 months went to new home lady had a stroke and she came back 11months later, never left here again...

the two labs showed up here and I notified pound I had them so owners could claim here, 2.5 months later I find out who owner is and call only to have him tell me his gf wanted a puppy and he knew they were here in a better place and relenquished them to rescue, mind you I've know the ahole for over 21yrs but didnt know these were his dogs so here they live :) every time Dr pepper and I go on house calls to his neighbors they all thank me for taking the poor poor dogs lol...

Bay my dh got for hunting and then had a heart attack so she is now just a big tick of a pet...

Blu was and still is a therapy pet for my children to help when we traveled to work on their learning disabilities, we had another therapy dog named Ty but she unfortunatly passed away but these two dogs have helped my children get thru some difficult times with school...

Jr is my dh's second soul companion and baby aside from his human children and hunting buddy...

Rip well he's a mercy adoption to help the breeder unload the many pups he had, Rip is about 130lbs of solid mush and slobbering love and he and Ty were my oldest loves...when she needed and needs someone to just hold she has his hulking body to cuddle with if she doesn't want me...ok enough of my rambling :)

Katherine :)
