How to find a club

1052 Views 7 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  DerbyDude
I am new to the retriever thing, but I am interested in finding a club close enough to my home that I could actually be a part of. I have tried searching on the internet. I have come to the conclusion that a lot of clubs either are not listed or the types of dogs the club deals with is not always a "Given". Anyone know of any good retriever clubs north of Sacramento, CA but south of the Oregon border, kinda northern central location?

Thanks

Their also is a hunt test club, Marin Retriever Club, located 12-13 miles south of Oroville on Hwy 70. The map of the grounds for the test site is 1.5 miles east of HWY 70 on Lower Honcut Rd.
That would have to be the Hightest facility www.hightest.com

Actually, it looks like they are located in the bay area, about 3-4 hours away from me.
Yes, but the club is not actually there. I think they may have done a test or something there, it is a 120 acre facility. My dog is actually being trained by Hightest. The club appears to be further south from what I could see. Closer to Marin county, just north of San Francisco.

I did send an Email to then though. They are about 70 minutes or so north depending on what side of town they are on. I will call Hightest in the morning (My mom works the front office). Although she hasn't said anything about any clubs being close to town.
