I’m a Professional Noob,

haha, so I’d like to get some veteran folks opinions of this Technical Pond.

Doesn’t look like major distance is the goal but man it sure looks awesome!

I found it watching Phog the Dog do some drills in it on YouTube.

Can someone explain to me what sorts of skills(specifically) a dog could learn from this type of pond. More the technical terms with maybe an example.

Saying ‘Everything’ doesn’t count! but it actually might right?

I ask b/c I have a generous father-n-law(with lots of land),
with some generous friends(with lots of big dirt moving toys).

So hypothetically it might be possible for me to make a Tech Pond in the future.

What would you do different to this pond? if anything? if you had the resources to do so.

hey Dustin: That T-Pond is a friend of mine Mike, they just built it in the last year or so.

What can you teach in a Tech pond: Teaching the dog not to square up entries, Channel blinds, may have a swim-by area Multiple re-entries of Land water land water, cheating singles

what I want to know is how you keep it from becoming a Gator Pond in your area?

and LOL! It's not like that really. Gators need deep water and food to live. They rarely show up in small (unstocked)ponds unless there is a major drought.

Either way we are legally allowed to remove Nuisance gators over 6 feet.

Under that and we have to call the Sheriff Department.

or heaven forbid I could call one of the dozen or so REALITY TV shows we have here now lol

Ha! I kind of know Mike too and ran a test at his place a couple of years ago. That dang pond wasn't there then!

Not hard to design, whatever your imagination can dream up will work. Make sure to include an 8" well and plenty of pipe and gates so you can keep good water all summer. PM me the combination to the gate please.

I'm a heavy equipment operator by trade, so if you need digging, consider it dug. All I charge is the combo to the gate like Raymond said.
