This is a hypothetical question and I am NOT going over to the dark side, but what clearences should be considered standard when purchasing a lab pup? CNM, hips, elbows, and eyes seem to be the stardard. I am just looking to stay informed and I am not looking for a pup... yet. Any input would be appreciated.

They aren't "clearances", but I would be sure to check for any ear or skin problems that could be allergy related. I also ask if the dog has had any injuries/surgeries.
If the dog had any bench lines in the pedigree, you would also want the PRA clearance.

Do any breeders have an FAQ regarding American field bred labs regarding health clearences, other health issues, and anything regarding the breed?
