Yesterday we lost our beloved Bonus (Ch. LegaSea's Icing on the Cake, JH). He was just 7 years old. A massive seizure took his life. I can hardly hold back the tears, I can hardly bear the grief that I know lies ahead as we face life without him. Rest in peace my beloved Bonus. You gave us more than we could ever have asked for. I know that you are running free, that you don’t hurt anymore, you don’t limp anymore; the white is gone from your face and you will never, ever again have to have your ears cleaned, your toenails clipped or have one of those horrible seizures…never, ever again.

We love you so precious Bonus.

Patti-
Words cannot express the pain I feel for you. I wasn't that long ago when Bonus gave you your start in this game and paved the way for Alli. I've gotten to know you well over the past couple years and more recently your husband too. I know how the both of you feel about your dogs. There is nothing I can say that will ease you or Larry's pain right now but you said it best....there is no more pain for Bonus. May God give you flyers Bonus....

Joe, thank you so much; you were one of the few who knew Bonus when he was running hunt tests. You all used to tease me so and were all so very, very nice to us...your support made me feel so included; even though Bonus was obviously a "show dog" you cheered me on and encouraged me...laced with humor and fun! You are right, Bonus paved the way for Alli; and oh how she has changed my life. Bonus does have only flyers now and all the lake he can swim in and every hour is "cookie time"....

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I think right now, the emptiness hurts the most....the empty bowl, the empty spot on the couch, the empty place in my heart.
