I have a stud that a guy is interested in breeding his female to. They both have all their clearances and both are titled HT dogs.

The grandfather on my stud side is Cotton Pickin Cropper. On the bitch's paternal side Cropper is the Great Grand Father. There are no other dogs that are the same in the pedigree other than the lines following Cropper.

What are your thoughts on it?

Shouldn't be a problem at all. I just had a litter where the sires of the stud and the dam were half brothers. I did plenty of research looking for anything bad that would be doubled up on, and found nothing. So, I did the breeding, and it turned out great! These are some of the best pups I have produced. When I am ready to keep another pup, I will repeat the breeding to keep a chocolate female for myself. I have also seen several very successful breedings with Lean Mac as the sire of the dam and stud.

I wouldn't think this is too close -- and weak linebreeding at best
