Thanks to the insight of folks on this website, I was able to check out the Jackie Mertens video Sound Beginnings. Boy, I'll tell ya, that was a good video for the beginner. I very much needed it. I had no idea that a few minutes a day with the pup is all that should be expected (from/for the pup). Coupla questions, though...I noticed (captain obvious workin' here) that she trains with treats in the beginning, using pepperoni as a reward for a job well done. What I'm wondering is.....how much do you give them, and is it the same pepperoni that you throw on pizza? Common sense tells me that you will only want to give them a little tiny bit, but, bein' the newbie here, I didn't think it hurt too much to ask....

It's not pepperoni, it's Pupperoni. It's a dog treat, found in the dog food area of any store. I cut it into pieces 1/2" to 3/4" long, put in a ziploc bag, and you're ready to go. All dogs love it.

Those pictures of the snow are great.It will be a good link to give to the next person I hear whining about the weather around here.Our winters have been pretty easy lately.
