Click

I've only had one Click puppy. She just turned 18 months old last week. She is extremely intelligent and can stand up to the training. Very good marker and runs straight lines. Extreme desire with huge water entry, but not over the top. Good looking pups also. Mine matured really quick. Last month we ran our first 3 derbies. We got 2 jams and a 3rd. The dam also probably has a lot to do with this also though. She has thrown several pups that have done very well in the trial game. Another pup out of this same litter also got a derby jam in it's first FT, and another is getting ready to run his first this month. Ducksoup here on RTF also has a littermate that I know he is very impressed with. Also, Angie has had a couple of Click pups I think in training. Maybe she'll chime in and give her thoughts. Click has a couple of titled siblings also, and his sire Quick has sired about 7 or 8 titled offspring. I wouldn't hesitate to breed to him seeing what I have so far. He has also been a 2X Canadian National Amateur Finalist. It's a shame that he passed away so young. Contact the Youngloves, I'm sure that they will steer you in the right direction. They also own one of his offspring, AFC Jaybar's Click On (Surge).

Otter is a Click pup. He's a good dog but I don't think we are as far along in training as some of the other pups his age are.I'm sure it's more me than him.He went bananas in his first hunt test last fall.My fault. We(both) weren't ready and I thought we were.He was so excited that it was if he never trained at all.I'm new to the hunt tests,my bad.We needed more exposure training in groups.Since then he's hunted pheasants all winter (very birdy,he hunts well)and we go to obedience classes once a week and train as often as possible. He got a CGC and is about ready to start again with hunt tests this spring and CD tests. His biggest problem is noise. Not around the obedience stuff,he's very relaxed there but on line.Throw in guns, birds, bumper boys, bird boys and he get's excited whiney. We just keep working on it all.I'm sure we make alot of mistakes together.Smart, happy dog with no health issues so far.CNM tested clear.Good with other dogs and people.Nice dog.

My Click girl Cassie is now 3 1/2 and has won 2 juniors with a 4th and a Rcm & Cm out of 7 trials she broke on the other two. In quals she has an American 3rd and 2 RCM and 2 Cm's this past fall. She is getting ready to run quals and opens this spring and should transition by summer to straight AA events. Her weakness are that she was slow to mature and weak on short birds retired or not. Her marking is real strong and her blinds are improving daily. She was a noisy pup and I suspect if allowed would still be a barker when not being worked. She absolutely craves all human attention and takes correction well. On looks she has a solid muscular build with a solid head for a female that weights between 65 -70#. I obviously adore her and miss training and running her, she will be back in the north here the first week of May.

If there was one stud that threw what my clients want as far as a good looking, smart, tractable, personable gun/hunt test dog it would be "Click." I need to find now 3 started dogs that look and act like "Click" puppies for this falls hunting season.... That request will be hard pressed to fill.

I liked "Click" alot!!!

I own the littermate to RaginStormRetrievers' Click pup -- my BLM Maxx is now 18 months -- in training with Dan DeVos, running in Derby at Buckeye -- big solid 80 lb. male -- great LOOKS -- lots of DRIVE -- lots of GO -- very high powered -- very SMART -- great MARKERS -- I'll try to post picture of Maxx (has been posted on RTF before -- Greg Seddon was kind enough to help out a techie has-been like me before) -- I know Maxx gets his looks and size from Click -- obviously got some brains and drive, etc. from dam as well -- this was my first dog in nearly 15 years so I was very selective -- got everything I was looking for and more -- great dog -- had issues with vocalism as pup -- problem was something worked on and addressed -- Click has passed on -- Click was 7 or 8 month old puppy in training when filmed for Mike Lardy's E Collar Conditioning DVD -- goes through entire conditioning process -- certainly some insight into Click -- I've seen other Click pups and I'd get another in a heart beat -- I've seen Glynn's dog run -- and Illinois Bob posted a puppy shot I swear was Maxx as pup -- as suggested check with Youngloves -- they have a fine Click pup in Surge

I called on that litter. You guys had them all bought up by the time I got there. My dog is from Tall Pines Kennels.I got the last of 7 there. All the pups were sold in the first week. When I called Youngloves to find where any litters were I accidently interupted a breeding in process.(Oops,sorry).
Those pups were going fast.I feel lucky that I got one.

Thanks Greg -- you rescued me again -- I hope I'm better handling the dog than I am negotiating around on this website -- especially regarding posting pictures or even links to -- but then I've got a lot to learn (more than the dog and MORE than just posting pictures or links -- thank God I've got a good teacher in Dan)
