Does anyone have the Open call backs and details on the water blind. I heard it was super tough.

22 dogs left in the derby. Combined 3 and 4 series. 3rd series is a double and 4th series is a LONg single that they are planting a bird and throwing a white bucket into.

Congrats to Mark on the Open win.

Chris could you explain this a little better please? Was the white bucket thrown as is done by some in training on really long birds, or was the bird thrown to a white bucket on the ground?

Don't think I like either for a trial. Anyone else?

John,

3rd/4th series was a wide open water double, long walk to the line, didn't start until 12-12:30 - So it was suggested they add a single up the middle, which they did - a combined 3rd/4th. Well they planted the bird and then threw the bucket for the dogs to mark - the bucket was suppose to land behind the bird. The carried 22 to this series, they needed answers, they should not of used the bucket because the mark was NOT that long and the lighting was not bad. Just my take - I ran bullet as test dog.

Thanks Lainee. I'm sure Bullett nailed it. I know how deadly he is on long singles!

John
Actually no he looked pretty bad as test dog, even on the double - which I'm glad cause if he had smacked it as test dog I would of been really upset with myself for the entire drive home. He did do the long mark okay nothing like that one we set up, but he was off this weekend in a major way :? :(
