Lafayette Louisiana and surrounding areas!

My name is Mike and I am 24 years old. I recently moved to lafayette for work and am having trouble finding places to train. I dont know anyone from this area and land owners arent going to let complete strangers train on their property. If anyone from this area has any advice please let me know. Are there any retriever training clubs that would give me access to somewhere to train. I dont want to compete in ht or ft but just need somewhere to work a young dog to get her ready for next duck season. Any advice would be appreciated.

Call me, and drive 1 hr west. I have the best property in SW Louisiana to train on and don't mind helping anyone out.
When I lived in Lafayette, Moore Park, just north of I-10, had a couple of small designated training ponds. Wasn't yesterday, so I don't know if that's still the case.
They still have one but you need to watchout for the local drug deals witch happen offen.
Be careful, Raymond might be looking to feed his pet gators!
Ha! You better get off your azz and come fish with me this year, always threaten but never pull the trigger. Even Bobby trained with me last weekend and had a good time.:p Doubt I could get him into a boat though.
I wasn't very into training when I lived in Lafayette, but, man, there are a BUNCH of guys in this part of the state. I met Ed Thibodeaux yesterday and he was a really great guy. I bet if you call him and offer to throw birds, he'd let you train with him. I guess you can google him, or do a search on this site.
Google Satin Belle Hunting Retrievers or PM me for his cell.
