Are the bumpers for a hand held launcher compatable with the Bumper Boy? Can I expect a similar lauch pattern?

The handheld bumpers should work on a BB but they are smaller, lighter and more streamlined so they go a lot faster and further. Attaching streamers slows them down and makes them more visable.

I think Jason is correct. I've made my own poor man's bumper boy's by converting hand held units and it's important to put 2-4 black and white streamers on those bumpers as at distance they do not have the visabiltiy partially due to size and the speed at which they get to the top of the ark.

Also don't push the bumper all the way down the barrel. Only push it down about 1\2 way.

I use automotive style hose clamps to find and permanatly hold the bumper up once the proper wieghts are found.

Good advice from Jerry and Trent there. Another useful tip is to only use the green loads - yellows and reds are far too hot for those smaller bumpers.

Hi there is a guy in Ontario Canada that makes the proper size they are called OUTLANDER and they work great I two have converted a hand held launcher to act as a Bumper boy you can also get the conversion from Lion country supply Hope this helps Mario

Sounds like they will work with some adjustments. "Misty Marsh" talked about weight. How do you attach these to the launch bumpers, the ones I have are canvas.


I have light "grey" loads and I tried them on my handheld launch and the bumper went about 10 feet. My dog went out,picked it up and spit it back at me, as if to say "is THAT all you got". I just about busted a gut.

Trent is right use the green loads the same type used in Hiltie gun ,we use ours for walk up but do not fire it when the dogs is close it gives a load report no need to scare the dog . Mario
