Okay have to rant - anyone else see the new commericals for lowes where the couple is buying flooring and the "husband" says "no glue" and the "wife" says "our labordodle has sensitive skin" - the commerical at first bothered me cause I felt like they were promoting the dogs, but on the second take are they poking fun at the dandruff, alergy proof dog or what?

Oh well just bored on a Sunday afternoon....

In an attempt to hijack your thread???if you can call it that  I haven't seen that particular commercial...yet.

But I have seen the commercial for Taco Bell with the lions...has to be one of the best ever. T. B. has to have one of the best agencies in the country. Their series with that little Mexican dog that I can't spell, was always entertaining. But this lion bit rolling the r in their new sandwich "like Ricardo Montalban", whose name I can't spell either, is a classic.

OK, Ed...a little spell check here please.

I saw it and said to the TV "You have got to be kidding!" my wife said "Don't start on the labordoodles and don't talk to the TV!"

I then said something about the husband on the commercial needing a pair.

That was immediatly followed with the "Wife Stare".

Sow me the money regards.

This is one area that really gets me going. The tv shows are , indeed, promoting the fad of hybrids. I have seen many a show where they are showing the new fad dogs, and the multitute of mixes they are doing. I research the "goldendoodle" and found websites of kennels who are promoting the "proper" breeding of these dogs!! The prices are nuts... I just don't get it. Why people would pay as much for these mixes as they would a "quality" golden or lab!! This just ticks me off!! I can now see the need for the rescue groups to start rescues for these dogs. I seriously doubt the "breeders" of the dogs would take them back if needed. Well, I guess i am done complaining for now.... maria

Gooser,
I still like the Taco Bell ad with the Lions.Crrrrr Crrrr
Maria you have to consider the sources, their expertise at marketing these "Doodles" as Thee Dog To Buy" the ignorance of John Q. Public.
This soon shall pass and the next fad will appear.
For Example :What does the next US president have for a family pet?????
I too hate it and try and explain to the people that I see have them what they really did buy(A MUTT).
I'm sure that we can share the same feelings as the people that own quality poodles, poms.,......
