One of my girls ( 10yo- spayed for about 5 yrs now, 3 litters) has an odd looking nipple. I've noticed it before, within the last year or so, that it was differently shaped, but not enlarged, thought it was different though. Was able to express, like a white paste material out of it before. It was uncomfortable for her. I Have not done that in many months. the nipple has not changed in size at all.......until I Noticed yesterday. Its double in size from others ,and has a 'cauliflower" shape to it(sort of raised irregular lumps). The whole size is about like an irregular shaped marble. The actual mid part of the nipple looks ok but around the perimeter of it, it is cauliflowered. I didnt try to do anything to it but have an appt first thing tomorrow since I"ve noticed a sudden change to it.....
Anyone have a dog with mammary tumors previously? Does this sound like that ? Im obviously concerned . Dont know it will show up on a picture and Ive never had luck posting one before- (tried photobucket,etc..... and tried t even pull off of FB to no avail- :0......
Hopefully I gave enough info that if someonse seen this (vets?) it will sound familiar - or hopefully not...
Thanks------

She already has an appt first thing tomorrow, Im not one to waste time on something. I noticed last night it had grown. This dog spends a lot of time on the bed on her back so I'd have noticed it if if had grown sooner- Lee, yes its harder than the others. Almost "dry" looking too....
My vets pretty thorough and will do what needs to be done. Hes not overly liberal with surgery but not super conservative either Thanks, all, I hope its nothing , I really do......

Mickie is in surgery. He suggested that we take it off today. I asked about a biopsy, and he agreed, though didnt suggest it(it was my idea).. I guess thats good-he didnt panic and offer what he thought it was at this time. Guess we'll see what the biopsy says.... with luck it will not be cancerous at all......

I got the results on her biopsy finally... and good news! Dermal Melanocytoma- "historically" BENIGN with unlikey chance of "metastasism, or recurrance, with full excision.
Phew.... dodged another old dog bullet! thanks for your concern gang.....
