spent the last couple of weeks testing and tasting some new recipes for new martinis and dessert style drinks...these are easy to make and they taste good, in some cases you can substitute vanilla ice cream for a decadent treat

Last Tango

2 oz Absolut Mango vodka
4 oz mango puree
2 oz sweet/sour mix

Red Velvet

3 oz Three Olives Cake Vodka
1 oz white creme de cacao
1 oz creme de noya (red almond liquer)
2 oz of half and half

Raspberry Beret

2 oz Absolut raspberry vodka
2 oz Chambord raspberry liquer
2 oz Lemoncello liquer
2oz cranberry juice

White Peach Margarita

3 oz Patron Silver tequila
1oz peach schnapps
3oz white peach puree
3 oz sweet sour mix

blend with ice or shaken and served over crushed ice

Hope you get to try one

Geez, I thought this thread would be about martinis. Wouldn't expect a fine dining guy from Vegas to be peddling ice cream and candy! :p

Gin & dry vermouth ... stirred, not shaken, regards.;-)

I thought this was going to be a youtube of the Rev. Horton Heat. On the subject at hand, I am a Bombay Sapphire gibson fan. My wife loves Hendricks martinis with a cucumber, which are darn tasty as well.

I know what I am going to do once I get out of the office and get a little dog training in this evening :)

She will love that, I think. Thanks. It looks similar to the pomegranate thing she likes a lot.

Then have her make a pomegranite martini with Pama Vodka, leave the bottle in the fridge and either mix it with cranberry juice and Chambord, one of our most popular sellers during the summer

Bon-- for real's, foo, foo drinks? I would have pegged you for Whiskey straight up, rocks optional. Disappointed.

Gotta quote John Wayne here from my favorite all time movie. " It's the real article, double genuine rectified busthead, aged in a keg, and a touch of it wouldn't hurt you in the night air" (Maddy, from near Dardannel and Yell county would not have a sip)

The Duke would not be happy with your Chick drink libation digressions.

Okay-- one more quote, not sure of movie title but love the line. "No Whiskey, no party, we go home"

Martini: simple, all booze----gin/vodka and vermouth with a nice green olive on a toothpick.

Don't mess with a good thing. Like breeding labs with Chessies;-)

Hey Chuckle all you want Happy, Prince was / is a stunning technical Rock guitarist. And it chafes me so how he is automatically dismissed by many simply because of his image. Prince Rocked! On my list of wish I had seen perform.

John,
we all are the best we can be, in our field, aren't we? ;-)
If the middle aged, saved all year, only trip to Vegas they will ever have in their life couple plops their muffin tops on top of the world and orders a foo foo. The somebody in question is gonna make sure it is the best one they ever had, and they tell friends about it when they get home. And oddly, it can be simple goofy stuff like that, that makes you feel warm and fuzzy on the drive home. More than serving a Senator for example. For me at least. And From what I read of Bon's stuff I bet I can safely speak the same for him.:cool:

you obviously have been off the circuit for much too long...the show Sex and the City made the Cosmo martini the most popular drink for almost 4yrs, if you go to the Blue Martini bar, its almost impossible to find a simple classic martini...have any idea how many flavored vodkas there are out there (probably about thirty)..the most popular drink in town is Vodka and Red Bull (go figure), nothing like mixing an energy drink with a depressant

Foo foo drinks as you call them flat out sell, they are deceptively potent, proving a drink doesnt have to taste strong to be effective...

I still enjoy a sip of Crown Royal or Gentleman Jack Rare.....but consider myself more of a cork dork and wine afficianado

That's too bad.

If you baked a cookie with oatmeal, coconut and raisins with a chocolate chip on top, would you still call it a chocolate chip cookie?

Invent all the new drinks you want for people who want something different. Just don't call them "martinis" 'cause they're not. :p

Save something for the purists, regards. ;-)
