My girl was FF last year with the assistance of a local pro. She did very well throughout the season, but at the end she was starting to develop a hard mouth. We have been working on extending the range of our triples and she is beginning to drop bumpers. She immediately picks the bumper back up without another "fetch" command, but it is sloppy and I'm wondering if I shouldn't go back through FF. She is CC, but I have not used the collar for "fetch". Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks,
JL

jib,
You say she developed "hard mouth" but is now "sloppy" and "drops bumpers"?? Long distance suggestion and always safe is to revisit "Hold" and to correct for any issue up close.

Yeah, I should have explained better. With birds, she was starting to develop a bit of a hard mouth. One problem was that she was getting a lot of cripples (my shooting could use some coaching also) and she liked to end it for the bird before getting back to me. With dummies, she has starting getting sloppy and dropping them on the returns.
