FC Tribute to Justice ("Honor")
I just go the call from Mid-Illinois that my Honor won the Open at Mid-Illinois- giving him his FC! (In two blue ribbons!).
Honor has been many "firsts" for me.....
My first dog to get a "started" pass - at the age of 4 months!
My Second Junior Hunter,
My first dog to be put on a field trial pro truck - thank you Mr. Bartlett
My first dog with derby points - and the dog i got to run on the spillway
My first Qualified AA dog, and the first I qualified!
And now his FC in two blues!
What a marvelous journey we've been having. This is the puppy that worked so very hard to pick me...retrieving that dead old pheasant tail, tromping off across the field and scanning the horizon for incoming... working so very hard to impress me...
He was named for my first lab, Southland's Call for Justice, who I lost at 18 months old, 1 week after I brought Honor home. I knew that if anyone could create a tribute to that heart dog, it would be Honor.
My heartfelt thanks to Emily and Steve Faith for selling me this wonderful boy... they were willing to take a chance on a newcomer to the game.
My thanks to Andy Attar at Autumn Run for the first blue and all of his hard work & training to make Honor an AA dog. Honor - don't let down now buddy, Andy has more training plans for you!
My thanks to his Assistant Seth Steenburgen. Honor has created many firsts for Seth, as well. His first FC that Seth has made, and his first Open blue! May you have continued success Seth, and continued success with Honor. He's not the easiest dog to win over! Honor is also the first FC for Autumn Run this year!
Thanks to all for helping me achieve these goals!
(See what happens when I learn to post those pictures!)
