More sad news - I got this e-mail from Bev Fowler.
I believe Maggie was the test dog at the Canadian Amateur last year and broke, at 12 years old, before her bird hit the ground.
God Speed Maggie Mae. It was an honor to know you.
Take Care,
Becky
Hello all,
It is with deep regret that I must advise you that Joe and Diane Renouf lost Maggie Mae to cancer today.
Maggie was undoubtedly the finest retriever ever to come out of Atlantic Canada. She was a joy to watch...she always gave her all. We know what a loss she will be to Joe and Diane and our thoughts are with them.
Their lives are far too short. They give us their all and ask so little in return.
