Hello
I am new to this forum. I recently acquired a two year old female lab due to family problems. She is an awesome retriever. She got her Junior Hunter title with great ease with her previous owner. I have her doing doubles and she is picking it up very quickly. When doing a double she makes no noise and is steady off leash for both marks. Now honoring is a whole different story. The gun and the duck calls can go off and she is not to bad ( I can see her anxiety level start to rise) but when the other dog gets to run and she doesn't, she becomes unglued. Barking, screaming, jumping, etc. I have used a bark collar and electronic collar, but the more pressure I use the wilder she gets. I saw in a different post about having her lie down which I am going to try. I also thought about having her honor back by my car (not on the firing line) and if she is quiet, then start moving up. I am consistently using a bark collar to stop any noise and whining at home and the bark collar also works when she is sitting in my vehicle while other dogs are running. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
