Hey everyone, new to the forum and new to training a gun dog! I've had dogs my entire life, but finally got myself in a position where I have the time and stability to train my first gun dog. Very excited!
I have a 4 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever that has quickly become my best friend and an absolute blast to work with! Looking forward to learning and discussing with all of you!

Little far. The Lake Champlain Retriever Club has had a few member from upper ny.
I'm in Burlington Vt with 2 Chesapeake Bay Retrievers.

I've got a pretty flexible schedule, I'd enjoy making a few trips over this summer if possible.

If you are near Clyde New York there is an event June 3rd and 4th you could go and watch might be fun. It's called a field test and the Lake Champlain retriever Club is having one the following weekend in Cabot Vermont. But that would be over a 4-Hour drive one way for you I feel possibly. What town are you?

I'm in Tupper Lake. I'll be headed to the event in Mexico NY on June 17th.
I'll be over in Newport VT the weekend of July 21-23.
