The Qualifying completed Friday. There were 31 dogs entered. Judges were Don Dutton and Jim Adix.
1st - Justin Time Trump (Geoffrey Bewley) Jim Gonia
2nd- The Dutchman III (D.Styles&Cynthia Tallman) Chad Gleason
3rd - Fishtrap Heidi - Ray Bly
4th - Wishful Thinking II - Harry Williams
RJ - Henniger's Tru Line (TJ Lindbloom) John Henninger
JAM- Big Bear's Fred (Steve Bechtel) Bill Totten
The Open had 65 dogs entered with Ken Payne and Anne Devino judging.
I saw the land test but only watched a couple of dogs. It had a long bird in the middle thrown right to left on the far side of water and retired. The right bird was also thrown on the far side of water and also retired. The left flyer was short and thrown right to left. The marks were wide of each other. It was raining, the tall grass held lots of dragback. You could not see the water until you got there. Alot of dogs hunted short of the water and in the dragback. Alot of dogs did not watch the right hand bird go down because of the short flyer (it wasn't real close but very attractive). My understanding is about half of the field survived. The land blind was this morning. I hope someone else will be able to fill in the results. HPW
