I think this is one of the harder to find volumes -- Click.

As usual, I have no vested interest in this auction.

I quit at $56 then just zap, zap, zap it was $178 with less than an hour to go.

Jerry, I think someone was running up the price on you hoping to get you to bite and got hooked themselves. $178 is a lot to pay for a book that sold for $25.00 to $30.00.

Nope.

If you look at the bid history it was proxy bidding. The winning bidder turned in a high bid days ago and let others try to outbid him, which no one did. HOWEVER......

The winning bidder had no feedback! That means they are new to eBay. Watch for this item to be relisted because the winning bid could be a fraud.

If it is relisted, I'll pm Jerry so no one else knows.

Months ago I posted a question about this volume and in reply was told that it was the least common of the Performance Books. If I'm not mistaken KG said at that time that one could expect to pay around $200.00 for a copy.
A copy was listed on Abebooks a few months ago. Got it for $35.00 :D

There is a different volume (1973-1978) on eBay LINKY. How much do you think it's worth? I'm a newbie, but would like to at least look through one of these volumes.

While I have been accused of blowing my share of "hot air," this is one claim I'm pretty sure I didn't make. Book appraising is not one of my few talents.

However, assuming that I did post such an estimate, I'll gladly own up to it....but I'm pretty sure I didn't.

Might have been ducksoup that ran me out.

All you had to do was e-mail me and we could have worked it out!!!

Nope -- actually thought that it might be worth buying at $55 but no more than that -- certainly wasn't trying to run up the price on anybody -- Jerry neither of us would have got it when it went to $178
