Stan, what do you need to know? Unfortunately Tucker and I have several thousand dollars experience with this.

This should help you. Best guys in the country if you ask me.

Here is an article on Patellar Luxation written for Clean Run mag by staff at VOSM near Baltimore..

Here is a link to other articles etc by Dr Canapp et al. Everyone should save in their favorite bookmarks.

Dig through the rest of their web site for other useful info.
Thank you for a GREAT post!

Very informative, and supports the diagnosis we were given!

Again, thank you!

No worries, you're welcome. Hope all goes well for your dog.
If you have any questions what so ever, even though you're not a patient, don't hesitate to call VOSM and ask to speak with Dr Sherman Canapp or Dr Pete Lotsikas.
Good luck

All I can say is use an orthopedic surgeon that is used to dealing with working dogs. Don't let a general practitioner touch it.

I had my dogs done at ten months old by an orthopaedic doctor, fairly costly but so far so good she is now two and a half... Good luck to you and your dog...
