I have a cingular 8125 that is my phone and PDA combined. I keep all my contacts and calendar on it. Windows mobile syncs with my outlook on the home computer and the work computer so that I can keep all my appointments straight.

The price has really came down in the past couple of years. Depending on what you want or need 200-500. Like all computers, don't worry about getting the greatest new technology, the next model back is usually alot cheaper and just as functional.

What are you planning to do with it?

The Blackberry is hard to beat, I've had one for about 5 years. Bu if you want it to wirelessly sync with your desktop I think you have to have a special server--not sure because my company has the server and I don't know how it works if you don't have one.

My wife uses the Treo and doesn't like it as well because the email doesn't automatically push from the desktop in real time. That may not be as big a deal for you. The keyboard is too small for my fingers.

A friend uses the Motorola Q and is pretty happy with it but I haven't fooled with it much.

If you are mainly focused on calendar and scheduling I would go to the store and play around with them, see which one has a screen you can read best and has the controls that make the most sense to you. Controls are a big deal, one of the girls here in the office has a new Blackberry with a smaller keyboard and I don't like it, those of us with fat fingers sometimes have issues.

I have a Treo 650 that I like a lot. I'll be upgrading to the next model in September when it's time to renew and probably change contact management programs to Outlook from Palm.

Thinner finger regards,

I have a Dell.

We can't have anything that transmits, ie celluar phones, two way pagers,
blackberries in Mission Control. So a blackberry, or any phone/PDA combination is out of the question for me.

My Dell has been bullet proof so far - the Palm I had before it was not.

Have you seen a timeline on when they'll be available from Sprint?

Yeah....you'd prolly get in trouble for knocking out communications with the space shuttle to do a post on RTF with your PDA.....

Not the way to get on TV regards,

I currently have a Dell Axim, but will be getting a Verizon VX6800 when they finally come out.

(<insert cursing here about delays in release dates>)

It's a Windows Mobile 6 phone/pda w/ a 2mp camera with a very nice form factor. And a keypad that is actually usable (the reason I don't like the Treo's).

I have a Blackberry 8700 series.

It sucks.

They won't warrant the thing after an initial 30 day period and the phone crapped out after 40 days.

So, I'm stuck with a phone that works intermittently. Neither Cingular nor RIM will help or stand behind their product.

I wouldn't take another one for free and will be taking my business elsewhere ASAP.

If it weren't for my wife's business that uses the same cell account, I would have quit paying them and written a letter to my credit file as a dispute of contract.

Palm Treo 700w. I have had it for about four months and really like it. It's easy to use, compatible to transfer info from my laptop, will run as a modem for my laptop when necessary, does everything I want it to plus some.

I had tried PDA's back in the Palm days and never much cared for them. I have the new Blackberry 8800 now through work and I love it! The full keyboard makes all the difference. The new 8800 supports a SD card and has a built in media player with pretty good sound quality. Who needs an iPod?

Crackberry is Addictive Regards,
Latisha
