The link to the eagle nest prompted me to post these links.

The first is a link to a Peregrine falcon nesting box on a skyscaper in downton Columbus, OH. The ODNR has done this for a number of years. There are 3 eggs in the box.

The next link is the tracking of a male Ospery that has nested north of Columbus for the past year or two. They had tagged both the male and female. The female died or was killed in Colombia last winter.
He just arrived back in Ohio today.

The last link is to a new research project on black duck migration. Several black ducks were were tagged near Sandusky Bay on lake Erie. These birds will be tracked to see where they nest.

I thought I'd bump this up. The ODNR now has streaming video and the 4 eggs are expected to hatch today. so far it looks like the eggs haven't hatched yet.

The nest in Columbus, OH failed. They removed 3 of the eggs and found that they were not fertile. The female is young and I guess this is not that uncommon. While there is still some activity around the nest box there are no eggs as of today. The ODNR doesn't anticipate they will renest after June 1.

Here is their link to other falcon nests across the US, Canada and the UK.
