Naw, season is over. No one pays attention to the Pro Bowl, just who's going and from which teams.

This is a sad time of year for me big time. It is bad enough to have hunting season end then to really kick me when i'm down, football ends. SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like it is all but a done deal, we're all surprised but only because we listen to the local reporters who like to think that they're in the know.

He is highly respected in football circles, he is well liked by his players and is able to get the most out of them. Charlie Waters, former Cowboys DB and assistant to Wade for 7 years just gave him a ringing endorsement on local radio.

Charlie reports that Wade is immensely popular among fellow coaches and will have no trouble filling his staff with quality assistant coaches.

But is Wade really successful, as a head coach he has not had that good of a record, especially in the playoffs.

I firmly believe he was hired to run the 3-4, which is a horrible reason to base your hire on.

According to ESPN.COM Cowboys have said that they have not hired a coach as of yet.

Quite a bit more successful than the other prominent candidate (Norv Turner) and at the least capable of repairing a defense which collapsed in the last 6 weeks of the season.

And since there seems to be no Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, Don Shula, or Chuck Knoll in waiting he is probably the best of the qualified candidates.......but it sure would have been fun to see what Mike Singletary could have done

That is kind of what I was getting at, Jason, Ron, and Mike would have made a good coaching staff in my opinion. What you get with those three, you never know, but at least they would be something completely new and different.

I was really excited about the thoughts of Mike Singletary too. Can you imagine the first time T.O popped off and talked smack. Singeltary could have and would have stuffed T.O's loud mouth in a locker and slammed the door.
