Here you go for those who need some time to get their premiums in - God I wished they used EE!

So who is going? I'll be your marshall/work horse for the Derby - no surprise there....

I notice no directions were provided in the premium, I'll try and post some when I get them from the FTS.

It's the Bud Linke ranch that Rocky Mountain has their trial on Memorial Weekend, so most of us know where it's at...if you're new to the area PM me and I can give you directions. It's easy to find right off the highway headed South past Silvercreek Inn. I think Danny Farmer is training there all summer too...

See you there

I'd love the directions, but can you post them here. I know a lot of those who have been there before know where its at - I do believe I went there last year to watch, but its aggrivating for us newbies and or those who want to go check out a FT. Its just like having multiple grounds for a FT with no signs posted - its frustrating - 3 out of the 4 FTs I've been to this year did not have any signs, you just drove around in the general area until you found a pile of dog trucks, hope it was the stake you were looking for and if not hope someone had the directions to the other location. I have been trying to give feedback to those clubs with poor signs and/or premiums without directions but then again it could be a conspiracy against the newbie?!

Thanks,

The Bud Linke ranch is probably about 3 mi. south of Granby on Hwy 40. Once you get past the Inn at Silvercreek it's a short distance...if memory serves you pass a junk yard, then the next driveway (white house) is the entrance to the FT...you should be able to see campers from the Hwy, if not once you turn in...then follow the road and hopefully there will be signs or people to ask.

Lainee,

Roux will be in the derby handled by Joseph McCann. If he does good, pat him on the head for me. If he bombs, kick him in the?..awe hell, pat him on the head anyway.

Andy,

You are right. The instructions are not clear at all. I'll let Lainee choose.

Yippee!!! Thanks Frank I'll have a hard time choosing which one to kick and which one to pat!!

I'll make sure I say hi to Roux for you! But I'll also try my best to kick his butt when I walk to the line - nothing personal!

Lainee,

Be nice to him - Roux, not Joseph. You know brown dawgs can't compete anyway.

Take care,

I'm always nice to the dogs! Remember they can't chose their owners or handlers - poor guys, just ask Bullet!

I did hear once that chocolates belong on the dessert tray, but I could be wrong!

For some reason when I think of "Roux," I think of gumbo.

Are you having him run in any other Derbies while JP is up here?

Lainee,

Joseph will handle him at Pike's Peak, the one in Walden, CO, and the one at Ft Collins. Debbie and I may take him back to CO for the one in Orchard.

We will spend the fall weekends in OK, KS, LA, TX. Of course, this is dependent on whether Roux is competitive. Hopefully, I can run him in a Qual or two before the year is gone.

Take care,

Frank

I worked the NFRA test this past weekend and your chocolate dog looked pretty good in the Derby. You have nice dog there. I worked both days at the Open/Derby, I was the stake manager/shooter/thrower/pretty much everything.

I like chocolate dogs myself. Good luck at Pike's Peak and beyond.
