I'm certainly not old enough to remember those horses, but boy, what a race that was. I'll have another sure showed a ton of heart. I didn't think there was any way he was catching Bodemeister.what a race, hit the exacta with I'll Have Another and Bodemeister, did not throw much money at the race , what a kick at the end...reminds me of the great duels of Affirmed and Alydar....one more to go..THE BELMONT
I boxed them with Teeth of the Dog,Went the Day Well and Cozzetti, was looking for a bigger payout in the event of an upset..I'm certainly not old enough to remember those horses, but boy, what a race that was. One question about your exacta...did you box em??? Just curious.
My opinion of the chances for the triple crown...2%. I'd have said 1% except he showed so much heart today that I decided to double it. I'm not trying to be a debbie downer, but I seriously question whether there will ever be another triple crown winner.
Yes, but this horse is a late charger with a ton of heart... don't bet against him... he may just have another!I boxed them with Teeth of the Dog,Went the Day Well and Cozzetti, was looking for a bigger payout in the event of an upset..
as much as the sport wants a Triple Crown champ, horses like Union Rags, Dullahan, and Optimizer are licking their chops at running the Belmont at a mile and a half
wont bet against him , but depending on who runs in the Belmont , I will cover him winning and also the big upset...He will have to earn it...He has a HUGE heart and has a real lot left in the tankYes, but this horse is a late charger with a ton of heart... don't bet against him... he may just have another!
Just curious to which of the 2/3s horses are you referring to, and why? That horse's chances are slim & none with slim walking out the back door. There have been much better horses fail to do it in the 2000s.
hey Bon, Roy McFall told me once that he trained horses as well as a young man in WA. I think there are quite a few of the old time dog trainers that were horse trainers first.Looks like there may be 10 fresh horses + 1 Preakness starter that will challenge I'll Have Another at the Belmont aka " the test of a champion"
on a trivia note, just found out that the RHOF trainer TW "Cotton" Pershall was actually a horse trainer before he went to work for John Olin as a dog pro...which brings to mind an old adage from prehistoric times that went "....a dog wasnt worth a damn, unless his azzz was filled with lead (buckshot)"
