What preventative care plan do you use? I was using trifexis but the ticks have been so bad recently. I got some advantix II but I'm still on the fence about heartworm. Can the pup handle doubling up on flea meds? IE trifexis and advantix. Btw she is a four month blf

Don't double up on flea meds. The best thing to do is an oral and a topical. You can use frontline or vectra with Trifexus. That works really well.

The ticks usually are bad at the first of the season. If you haven't been applying flea and tick medicine during the winter months and just starting off in the spring you may see more ticks. If used year round the numbers are less as the product has been on the dog for a couple of months and is working better than just putting one dose on in the beginning of the season.

I agree don't double up just keep applying and be patient.
