it's amazing how far technology has come over the past 5-10 years that I can't wait for the next 5-10 years. just hope I can keep up. I mean, you are watching your pups on your phone!! they're not really phones anymore, they are a device that just happens to make calls.

is there any audio for when they start yelping?!?! ha

yeah, i had the audio turned off so people didn't have to listen to me talk on the phone or whatever else I may be babbling about when I'm in there. Almost time for momma dog to get back in there. I have to force her to take some time off from mothering.

If you don't mind, what setup are you using?

I bought a D-link IP camera before my pups were born and was going to post the link but it slammed my network so hard with just me on it that I decided against giving the link out. Your's streams pretty seamlessly.

I actually just set up an account on UStream.com --- I am using the camera on my laptop. Here's a picture of my high tech set up ;)

That box is a xylophone that my dad made for my 34 year old brother when he was about 5 years old -- i'm the youngest so I ended up with it. A Genetics a notebook (with notes and old tests), and Toshiba lap top. ohh and the pillow is to keep it from falling over backwards.

Solid right? ;)

I tried loading it, But it says the content is offline. Is it my iPad, or did you take it offline temporarily?

It's actually a free service. Just register an account with UStream.com and in the top corner is a button that says GO LIVE --- you click it and you can live stream or record.

I got it to load on my iPad but it wouldnt stream. It works great on my droid, however.

The runt is running around the box on a mission of some sort right now. We had a long break in action on whelping night and when I took Siege out to do some business --- she dropped that little guy in the grass. He is definitely my favorite.

Siege was born on a Sunday that was also the 4 th round of the Masters. I was whelping pups and watching the TV in the whelping room. Diamond (siege's mother for those who don't know) had 9 and then nothing for a couple hours. She got up and asked to go out so we went outside. There was a bumper laying in the grass and she picked it up and brought it to me. I tossed it a couple times then we went back in. Started nursing. I went in the house to get a cold drink and when I came back in 5 minutes, there were 2 more. Guess we had to shake them up.
Go figure.
Good luck with these. They come from good stuff.

So cute. We hooked up a camera in our kennel so we could watch our litters while we are at work. Mine won't work on Ipad either. Something about apple not allowing flash player or whatever the program is that runs the video. I did a search online and found lots of folks that said the same thing. That's a little frustrating.

Thanks, I'll have to try them to see if it streams any better there than directly to my webpage.

I almost went with a webcam but didn't want to tie up a machine so I bought a IP cam that does the processing onboard. Seeing how well your's works, I'm kicking myself because the webcam was 1/3 the price of the IP cam...

True, Apple blocks Flash as a security threat. Check your camera's documentation and see if you can stream in ActiveX. You should be able to view it on Iphone, Ipad.
