This is a "small" poll to investigate your purpouse to own or train a retriever. Could be interesting for me to see how an other part of the world has for a kind of relationship to the retriever. :)

I wanted to have more alternativs in the poll but there was a limit on those, so I have to skip some and others became "baked together".

I have my labrador mostly for my hobby, trains him for field tests and mayby later we going to assist hunters who don't have a gundog.

GREAT PIC!!! Now to me, that is what it is all about. Training for me is kinda like offseason in sports. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy competition and am hoping to actually compete agains soon, but the real deal is in the duck blind and in the goose fields. That is why I have, and always will have, a trained labrador retriever.

JMAC-wants to leave work right now after seeing that pic :?

How is the hunting out your way. Visited the Ore forum over at the 'fuge' the other day and I saw where they have to draw for a blind at Fern Ridge!!! Man, I grew up on that damn mud hole, can't believe that I couldn't hunt when I wanted to if I still lived there.
