Maybe we should come up with a newer system to show at what "level" a dog is "qualified"?
Q could mean any level of "QAA" the lowest level could be QL. These dogs would be qualified to run in limiteds and would be as Jack posted earlier "point" dogs.
QS would be Q dogs that are "qualified" to run in Special stakes.
QR or "R" dogs meet the qualifications to run in Restricted stakes.
We could use some other designation for dogs that are "qualified" to run the big stakes, and are no longer eligible to run Quals such as 2Q.
The RAC has been asked by several clubs/organizations to present a proposal on the term QAA becoming a suffix dog title. To my knowledge they have no plans to let the clubs and their members decide this. Why not?
