Some recent topics got me thinking about breedings and the answers to some questions about who's the best stud and so forth.
I think someone made a comment about a certain stud who did great with some females but not so great with others.

My question is.......is it sometimes better to look at repeat breedings?
If the same stud is bred with the same bitch, should you expect the same from the litter?

check last weeks thread.

A repeat is good if the 1 st ones were quality animals not animals that sold well.

Your version of quality most likely differs from mine.
Just as opinions differ on what is a good lookin woman.

There have been some repeat breedings where the first litter produced winners and the second litter produced nothing. Plus, the second litters had better placement in terms of homes.

Some believe in repeat breedings and some aren't convinced that repeats are that predictable.

I guess that is what I was wondering. Just because the you have the same two parents doesn't mean the turnout is all that predictable.
