Had a pup from him. Smartest dog I ever saw. Would take it up a notch at a trial and do things I didn't even know you could train for. He was our first dog. He learned in spite of us instead of what we taught him. Had tons of natural talent. Ran really straight lines even as a 10 week old puppy. Totally fearless. Lost him a couple of years ago to cancer at 6 yrs. old. Best dog we have ever had to date. Hoping his son and daughters show the same talent.

I believe he is the last of the Abe / Lottie line still alive
Lotties St Lucie Merck was from a repeat breeding(1995) and he is still alive.

Quick

According to gooddoginfo, Quick was #8 on the 1995 National Derby List. He was a 3X National Am Finalist ('99, '00, '02). A National Open Finalist in
'99. He has 8 titled siblings and has sired 7 titled offspring. One of those titled offspring is my pups sire CFC-CAFC Jaybar's Picture Perfect (Click). She is the smartest pup that I have owned so far.

And they are fine, VERY good looking dogs (talk about shiny coats) with drive to run into a burning building!

Need info. about him and his pups please.
P.M. if needed.
Lyn and Jeff are very nice people and easy to work with if you are thinking of breeding to Quick. We had one litter out of him....nice pups.

FC AFC Candlewood's Rebel Ridge PDQ has a litter advertised on Working Retriever Classified by Rebel Ridge Farms (Jeff Lyons 410-885-2671) -- Quick bred to Charley Barkly (NAFC CNAFC FC Ebonstar Lean Mac X FC AFC Power Strokin' Sally -- same breeding as FC AFC Sally's South Paw and FC AFC Sally's Power Drive)
Like Bobby Davidson (Ragin'StormRetrievers), I have a BLM out of CFC CAFC Jaybar's Picture Perfect (Click was out of Quick) -- smartest pup I've ever had -- getting ready to run Derby -- great marker -- very good looking -- solid 80 lbs. at 18 months -- high going dog -- lots of GO -- Quick pups and grand pups show great marking ability -- besides Lotties St Lucie Merck, there is FC AFC Miss Scarlett still alive -- for stud service, besides Quick there also might be some frozen semen left for FC AFC Hawkeye's Candlewood Shadow as well as Lotties St Lucie Merck
Quick threw several FCs who have also produced -- one that comes to mind is AFC Sureshot's Little Party Girl (owned by Amy Hunt) who threw several dogs on last year's Derby list -- breeding repeated twice now out of Gates should also turn some heads -- seems that Quick with Lean Mac is not bad combination -- that's what I'm hoping from my BLM Maxx or The Springwaters Quick To Maxx

aw, and I just saw on Melanie's golden litter thread that Connie Cleveland's Eli also passed away (maybe I missed that somewhere else?).

My condolences to Lynne and Jeff and Connie and Brian...

Quick was a great dog -- sorry to hear of his passing -- he'll be missed -- hope he's up in Heaven with Click stepping on mark after mark -- and lining blind after blind
