We also took a look at the handlers in terms of number of times they have qualified. The following people have qualified 10 or more times in the past five years. (And yes, they have qualified multiple dogs in that time!)
Qualified 12 times
Charlie Hines

Qualified 11 times
Ted Shih

Qualified 10 times
Ken Neil
Mark Medford
John Stracka

This came from the Retriever Results. Congrats Ted - that is impressive. Good work.

I know this may be an obvious question, but what did Ted Qualify in 11 times in 5 years?? Is it 11 QAA dogs in 5 years or is it qualifying for a national event Amature or Open?

We also thought it was interesting to see how many were close to qualifying for the National Amateur:
  • Thirteen dogs have secured seven or more points, but need a WIN to qualify
  • Eighty-two dogs have earned their blue ribbon but need points to qualify
-- 6 dogs need just a half a point
-- 17 dogs need 1 point
-- 7 dogs need 1.5 points
-- 53 dogs need 2 points

I liked this stat....nice website Josie, love getting the weekly stats

Three dogs have qualified 7 times:

FC-AFC Citori's Accept No Substitute (Michael & Lynn Moore)
FC-AFC Eva Ethel Proby-Weber (Alanson Brown, III)
FC-AFC Trumarc's L'il Ms Pogo (Martha & John Russell, Jr.)

Thanks for the kind words

I have been fortunate to have some very nice dogs along the way, who were very well trained by Cherylon Loveland:

1) FC/AFC Freeridin Wowie Zowie (Zowie)
2) FC/AFC Sky Hy Husker Power (Ace)
3) FC/AFC Freeridin Vampire Slayer (Buffy)
4) FC/AFC Freeridin Smooth Operator (Mootsie)
5) AFC Freeridin Maserati (Mozzie)

This is likely Mootsie's last year of competition

Then it will be up to Mozzie to carry the torch and for the youngsters

- Duncan's Slew (Slew)
- Freeridin Miss Kitty (Kitty)

to step up to the big leagues
