Angie will jump all over my back, so I won't turn it into a story
First dog & only dog. Home schooled:
JH
SH
WCX
WR
MHR
1/1 NFRA Master (we probably sucked, but Shayne was judging!)
3 HRC Finished passes
Finished several AKC Master tests, but no cigar
I'll admit it. None of the above, but we're 4/6 on SH. One more to go as soon as we get some weather in upstate NY. I haven't seen any HT posted on AKC yet for Three Rivers or Tonawanda. Any clubs have something slated for April that hasn't appeared yet? Optimistic, but not cockey. Then we'll start thinking MH.
I have been blessed with 1 HRCH SH with 3 legs of his Master and 645 HRC pts when he passed at 6 years old, 1 HRCH UH SH with 1195 HRC points and one Grand Pass, 1 HRCH that I am going to run in Master this Spring, 1 HR that passed away at 4 and a 6 month old pup to begin again.
Started in hunt tests and have put six MH titles on dogs, a SH, some JH titles. These were amateur trained and handled. Also, my husband put some MHR titles on a couple of the above, and I had the first Golden NAHRA WR in California and the first Golden Retriever to earn JH, SH, and MH in the US---obviously, this goes back a ways!
My first poor victim, Buckwheat, had a NAHRA MHR by the time he was nine years old.
My second victim, Hoss, has an SH and one whole Master pass at the tender young age of five.
Obviously, speed in developing dogs is not one of my strong points. But WE'RE HAVING FUN!!!
