Has anyone stayed there recently? How was it? I always stay there when I go down but last year, I remember the grounds (lawn areas by rooms) stunk TERRIBLE like urine... it was really nasty....
Better this season, without the CA rains? Where else does anyone stay when they go down there. Anything good in the town of Los Banos?
Thanks-----

Los Banos--the bathroom! I do some duck hunting there and would not recommend that hotel. We have stayed there, and in a different one in town---can't remember name. Much better though. Los Banos, has some incredible authentic Mexican food. Find yourself a dive and enjoy! It is a very dog/hunting friendly community---won't find any hoity toity folks:) You asked for good--there it is. Most, if not all hotels in the area waft the wonderful aroma of curry. That's a good thing too! Maybe. Good luck with your dogs, and If you make it to Lodi area feel free to stop by.

Espanas has always been a favorite of mine to eat when im there. I"ve been running the Los Banos tests ( Hills Ferry and MBHRC which I missed this year.) for about 20 yrs. (OMG! Thats a while... please tell me I'm not old enough for that...)
I always stay at abovementioned motel, very satisfied but was grossed out by the dog urine smell all over the lawn area.
Have to go "past" Lodi on the way down, but I go I-5. May try to go down early enough to hit Bass Pro Shops on the way... love that one..:)
