during a recent conversation with a young owner - he asked if i had
ever heard of SIB stress induced blindness in a certain line that was
bred too close - he said he was told about it from a sometime ht er
and ft er- i never heard of it and not sure if its a fact in retrievers
im aware of eic but not sib - anyone have any knowledge of it

Don't know about dogs but I have a neighbor who's daughter went blind after wittnessing a helicopter crash where people were killed. Eventually she got her sight back but it took many years.

That's because all the Texan guys recall going through a period of blindness in their early teens. Now it's such a shock to find out what the real cause was. heh heh heh heh

I'd never suggest thet...but I've never before seen such a nappy palmed group as those dudes from the Lone Star state. :shock:

Then they have the nerve to tell me they attribute their blindness to studying by the light of a Lone Star. Yeah, right. However, I still can't understand how low light can lead to a problem recognizing a cow? Must be a Texan thang. :roll:

I was told if I didn't stop I would go blind so I just did it till I needed glasses.
