ALL HEALTH CLEARANCES ARE IN EFFECT<

Kris-It's a funny thing. I don't think that the value of the puppy should be based on whether or not field trialers are going to buy them. In my opinion, the best home a dog can go to is a family home that hunts the dog and maybe runs a few hunt tests. That dog will get all the love and attention and not have to go through the rigors of a field trial dog.
Absolutely, some dogs belong on a pro truck, some dogs do not. That is a topic just on it's own. I can think of a handful of dogs that I know are happier on a truck, but I know more that would be just as happy with mom and dog doing the training and keeping them home. Some are equally happy either way. I'm not saying in any way that a field trial dog is unhappy, mine Love It and wouldn't do anything else. the ones I had that didn't found new homes.Miriam Wade said:"The dogs don't care it's all for the owner's ego", but I really believe that some dogs are happier being challenged.
I think you can balance a good home with upper level training & have a very happy dog. If whoever trains them trains fairly & with respect (pro or amateur) the dogs are going to be show it.
Sorry-as usual-I rambled off the topic, but part of my point is that I can see folks w/ top notch breedings wanting the pups in FT homes.
