If your dog has been snake-proofed with rattlers, will that also protect against other snakes, i.e. cotton-mouths, copperheads? Do all snakes smell the same?

I dont think they do-but I've had my snake proofed dogs- get wierd about things that might look like a snake too. so I think that yes-it would transfer over. Most snake avoidance classes ,deter them from sight, smell and sound.

My mom just had her dog snakeproofed by Winter Kennels (Harlen passed away, but I guess they still offer the service). She paid for them to use all 3 snakes (diamondback, copperhead, and moccasin). They told her that they all have distinct smells.

I'm going to take Dixie sometime soon after seeing what happened to Cassie.
