I have a cheap pistol from Cabelas....but the short cimps it uses are expensive!!!

What guns do you prefer.....Ones that take Primer Loads or the longer crimps?

What in the long run is cheaper?

You can buy from Gundogsupply and probably get a better price for the crimped blanks. Without trying to sound smart alecy, there is no cheap in dog training. The price of shotshell primers have skyrocketed.
There is one person who has a good source for Russian made primers but you have to buy a bunch of them at once.

Edit: I misread the op. The best blank pistol is the one Dr. Ed provided the link to. But, again, there is no cheap in dog training. Best to buy a quality pistol than one of the cheap ones. For instance I have a H&R .22 blank pistol (no longer made but was the best at the time) that I have had for over 30 yrs with no problems.

No matter what gun you buy it will be Expensive. You can buy a lifetime worth of crimps for the price of a new pistol. Unless the gun you have is not reliable I would roll with it.JMO!

Gun X all the way,,, Though I did just get a potato gun. Poppers are ridiculous..

I've wore out more NEF's then you can fathom.. Gun X is a much better product.

Search: POP-START

• Half the price of any decent primer pistol.

• Will last as long as you will! Nothing to break or wear out.

• No removable parts to lose.

Yes, it's a single shot. So what? ;-) Aren't most popper guns? It can be reloaded in 5 seconds.

Great idea!
